A world-class author and speaker on the interpretation of the chakra
system, Anodea Judith has become a student of Integral theory and a
delightful friend and participant in the BAI community. Many New Age
interpretations have trivialized these ancient esoteric systems, so
Integral thinkers have ignored them. This event offers us a chance to
explore how the ancient systems can shine light on an Integrative
vision that reflects our current cultural shift.
Through a stunning display of images reflecting her double
award-winning book, Anodea's presentation examines three essential
questions: Who are we? Where did we come from (or how did we get into
this mess)? And where are we headed at this crucial time?
Sympathetic to and informed by Integral consciousness, yet from a
vantage point outside Integral theory, Anodea Judith brings a fresh
perspective for reflection and debate about humanity’s rite of passage
from cultural adolescence to planetary adulthood, and from an
organizing principle based on the love of power to one based on the
power of love.

Anodea Judith, Ph.D. is
the founder and director of Sacred Centers, and a groundbreaking
thinker, writer, and spiritual teacher. With nearly a million books in
print in 15 languages, her work has won her the reputation of both
scholarship and original thinking. Her DVD, The Illuminated Chakras won
best animation at the NY Film Festival and her most recent book Waking
the Global Heart: Humanity’s Rite of Passage from the Love of Power to
the Power of Love won two literary awards in 2007 for Social Change and
Mind-Body-Spirit. She holds Masters and Doctoral degrees in Psychology
and Human Health, is a 500 hour registered yoga teacher, with lifelong
studies of healing, mythology, history, sociology, systems theory, and
mystic spirituality. She teaches worldwide on the subject of the Chakra
System and its application to Western psychology, spiritual awakening,
and social change. As a psychotherapist, Anodea conducted a private
practice in California for over 20 years, but traveling has taken her
healing efforts into the workshop mode.
